サウンド・アーティスト、即興演奏家、楽器製作者。 主に自作弦楽器と古い166mhzラップトップコンピューターで演奏する｡彼はシカゴのエレクトロ-アコースティックバンド"Tv
pow"の創始者の一人である。主にシカゴの即興演奏家たちの間で優れた活動を行っている。 1994年西ミシガン大学卒業、学士論文は[音楽装置と彫刻を強調した美術品について]。彼はシカゴにある実験的レコードレーベル“BOXmedia”の共同出資者であり経営者でもある。
brent gutzeit is a sound artist / improviser / instrument maker
who mainly works with hand made stringed instruments and a tired
old 166mhz laptop. he is a founding member of chicago's electro-acoustic
band - tv pow, and is fairly active in chicago's improvised
music community graduated in 1994 from western michigan university
with a bachelors of fine art with an emphasis on sculpture and
sound installation. has played in many different settings -
improvising with musicians from around the world including taku
sugimoto, ken vandermark, tetuzi akiyama, otomo yoshihide, sachiko
m, ISO, guillermo gregorio, tsunoda tsuguto, john butcher, ben
miller (destroy all monsters), xome, ernst karel, 7000 dying
rats, fred lonberg-holm, david grubbs, kevin drumm, gene coleman,
hal rammel, josh abrams, jim baker, azita, thymme jones, jim
o'croce, stilluppsteypa, kazumoto endo, toshimaru nakamura,
anthony coleman, james plotkin, mora, erik m, boris hauf, andreas
berthling, jorge castro, ben bracken, etc brent also co-owns
and runs BOXmedia, an experimental record label based in Chicago.
